I have already made a blog on ELF cosmetics previously, but my collection increased since then and I would be happy to share with you my experience.
First of all, I have to say, ELF has one of the most reasonable pricing policies. In fact, I don’t know how they manage to keep the prices so low.
For a limited time all Beautifully Bare items ship FREE! Offer valid 2/2-2/8, no code needed.
So this is everything that I bought directly from Elf.com. They have so many offers all the time that you can save up to 50% and get a free shipping. All this was around $25, since I had to pay the shipping to Canada too.
I decided to order another Tinted Moisturizer SPF20. The color that matches my skin tone is nude. It is not the lightest, but somewhere in between. I have already used it before. It suits those who don’t need a very good coverage and whose skin is flawless. I like to use it in summer or when I don’t want to wear heavy makeup. It’s awesome for daily use. Ingredients: Aqua, Mineral Oil (Paraffinum), Propylene Glycol and other chemical ingredients I don’t know. But my skin feels good with it. It didn’t provoke me any allergies or imperfections.
The darker foundation below is the one a previously bought that was too dark for me and the color is called Buff. I decided to choose a lighter one this time, but also missed it. This shade called Porcelain is too light for me. What I do, is I usually mix them to get the shade that I want. Anyway I love these products for the smooth coverage they provide and the price of $6 only. It covers well all the pimples that I might have and it stays great the entire day, especially if you use the makeup base below.
This picture shows the difference between the shades. The Flawless Finish Foundation Buff is on the left, the Porcelain one is in the middle and the Tinted Moisturizer mentioned above is on the right.
These two color are the HD Lifting Concealers from ELF. I’ve never used the green one, but it turned out to be very practical. It covers well any redness on your face. I haven’t been using the brightening one (on the right), because it is too light for me and looks bad under my eyes. I should get a darker color for that purpose. Also a very cheap product and totally worth it.
Now this is my favourite acquisition – Lock on, Liner and Brow Cream, light brown shade. Simply love it! The quality is awesome, the texture is creamy and spreads very well. I use it for my brows only to get them more proportion, since they are pretty dark already. I took the lightest shade they had, even though my eyebrows are almost black, but if I use anything darker, it just looks very heavy on me. Totally recommend this product.
This is the Mineral Infused Face Primer. The texture is very interesting, it melts on your fingers and immediately absorbs into your skin. I did notice a difference when using it with my foundation. The pump is very easy to use and gives you only a small amount of the product. A little goes a long way. I should get the eyeshadow primer next time.
Now regarding this Elf All Over Cover Stick, I’m still a bit confused on how to use it. I guess it is helpful when you don’t want to carry the loose powder with you and have this stick just to apply it on the shiny areas. It is very thin and is probably only for correction purposes. Also very cheap, but too light for me.
This is an awesome product called Elf Waterproof Mascara Top Coat. I thought it was a mascara and ordered it as such. It turns out it is just a waterproof coverage for any mascara. I use it in a combination with Elf lengthening & volumizing mascara that I don’t have a picture of, but both work great together or on their own. This waterproof coat is totally worth its money and keeps your makeup perfect during any weather. In Montreal it’s really cold, windy and with lots of precipitation in winter. My makeup would be destroyed without this coat.
I love ELF for its simplicity, cruelty free policy, great quality and prices. At this point in my life, I find it more than sufficient and it meets my daily necessities: it is lasting, it looks good on me, it doesn’t damage my skin and saves me a lot of money. I definitely recommend Elf.
